Bad app update!!!!

I used to be able to scan from the printer using the app to my iPhone or iPad and now you cant there is a glitch in the app and it doesnt work! So unless you connect the printer directly to a home computer the scanning option will no longer work, and since I dont have a home computer I can no longer scan documents using my printer Xp-320. At first I thought it was the printer and I went out and bought another one, a zip-420, and suffered the same problems! It appears that the scan option automatically disconnects the Wi-Fi on the printer from whatever network it is connected to at the time.
